A meditative, contemplative yet physical site-specific artwork in response to Yarner Wood, Dartmoor – a former copper mine. It echoed the verticality of the particularly tall trees, the copper mine shafts and the more esoteric connection between the earth and the sky, the physical and the spiritual, mirrored in a surface which at once encompassed these worlds, while addressing the concerns of human desecration of the earth, resources, pollution and the alchemy of material transformation.
